Monday, February 14th, 2005^ looks like someone’s been brushing up on their rudimentary photoshop skills, eh? we finally got all the way through the first new aod mark IV song at practice last week. it’s my thinly-veiled love song to america; as mark eitzel said at the amc show in october: ‘as testosterone goes down, political interest goes up’.
i was saving my store credit at barnes & noble to get a copy of michael azerrad’s our band could be your life and it finally came in. it’s a fantastic look at important (and some not quite so important) bands during the punk/indie movement from 81-91. so far i’ve gotten through the black flag, minutemen and mission of burma chapters; it’s a very inspiring read and i wholeheartedly recommend it.
another review of ‘revenge & regret’, this time from punk fanzine deep fry bonanza. daniel’s review echoes a lot of the sentiments that i feel about this record too, he did a really nice job. check out the rest of the site for some great reviews and interviews.
