installed gallery 1.4.1 on the site a few days ago and uploaded a ton of photos from the past couple of years. matt showed the page to a co-worker who commented that it looked more like a family vacation album than a rock band’s. hah, i’m glad we never did things like get group shots taken. check it out at appleofdiscord.com/gallery.

at single spark on sunday and put down guitar and vocal scratch tracks for ‘the earth turned slower’, ‘do you remember the eclipse’ & ‘hold on to your love’ (earlier demos available in the download music section). the performance was pretty craptacular but as long as i stayed somewhat in time, the tracks will serve their purpose. going to try and do some more on thursday. maybe.

happy new year, you jerkoffs. after much deliberation, the revenge & regret ep will be coming out after all. in fact, we’re moving up to a four page booklet and clear jewel cases. so hopefully by the end of february we will see them.

we’re going to start recording the fake jazz record soon. right now it looks like 8-9 songs. originally i wanted to do a really live sounding record with minimal overdubs but that’s gone by the wayside. matt wants it to sound like fleetwood mac’s rumours or some of the ida records; i’m thinking about trying to get a sound closer to american music club’s mercury. either way it’s going to sound like aor but messed up. too bad our material won’t be anywhere near as good as what’s on those records. i suppose that it’s good to have goals.

finally, we were never able to give nelson a proper send-off so we’re planning a big party for when he comes up next month. can you say ‘all-star jam’? i thought so.
